The things he learns at Nonni's!
Jake had a sleep over at Nonni's last night. When he came home today, I asked him to help me pick up his puzzles. He replied, "Only if you say pretty please with a cherry on top!" I know I didn't teach him that, so he must have learned it at Nonni's!

Anything to Procrastinate
I came home from work yesterday and it looked like a toy bomb went off! Jake thought it would be a good idea to bring the ball crawl pit downstairs for Nicholas to play with. In the process of bringing it downstairs, just about every ball went all over the floor, stairs, and media room. Thomas was running late for work, so that left Jake and I to clean up the mess. Jake would help me for a few minutes and then all the sudden he would get a "call" from his friend "Joe" on his kitchen cell phone. "Just a minute Mommy, I have to talk to 'Joe'." He would sit on the floor talking away to "Joe" just laughing and carrying on. I was reminded at that moment how much Jake is like his Daddy. He'll do anything to procrastinate doing work!

Nicholas walks for the 1st time!
Well, it's official ... Nicholas took his first steps all on his own today! He pulled himself up on the ottoman, walked to the couch, and then took off around the bar and to the refrigerator where Daddy was standing! We practiced some more tonight. As you can see in the picture, Nicholas is still a little nervous about the whole thing. He is not even 10 months old yet and he can't wait to do everything on his own. Nonni says he is very determined. I wonder where he gets that from? The video quality below is terrible (recorded on our camera), but at least you can kind of see the little man in action!

The next new saying...
Yesterday Jake was playing Wii and he couldn't get the game to work the way he wanted and he turned to me and said... Mommy this doesn't make my feelings feel good. It seems like there is a new cute saying everyday.

Be Cool My Baby!
As I begin to keep an updated website for our family and friends, I thought I would explain to you why we named it Be Cool My Baby! When we play with Jake and we start tickling him, in order for us to stop tickling him, Thomas makes him say "Be cool my baby!" When he's laughing hysterically and then says this we just crack up! We have even passed this trend on to other households. Jake's friend Luke was over the other day and Thomas started tickling him, and then all the sudden he said "Be cool my baby!" So, in an effort to keep us all laughing our website is called BE COOL MY BABY!!!
