Be Careful!

We are in the middle of an ice storm today. I still had to go to work. It took me 40 minutes instead of the usual 12 minutes to get to work, but I made it just fine. Jake calls me at work as soon as he woke up today and says, "Mommy, did you make it work okay? The roads are very icy and slick and you need to be very careful when you come home!" He is so precious!!

I know that I promised to keep this up and I have not done a good job at all. Work, kids, etc. always seem to get in the way. I have a bunch of pictures I need to post. I will try to do it soon.

Family Pictures

Jake is back in pre-school again, two days a week.  He really is enjoying his class with Mrs. Argenbright and Ms. Michelle.  One of the assignments that he has to return to school with is to bring in a family picture.  Well, wouldn't you know we don't have a recent family photo.  So, Jake assignment soon turned into a family assignment.  We all went over to Nonni's to take our picture at the "Buckner Court Resort."  They turned out really good!

   

   

                  

Chicago trip

We took a trip to Chicago to visit our old next door neighbors (Vicki, Rory, Maci, and Sadi) a while back and took some cute pictures on Navy Pier and the Shedd Aquarium.  The Aquarium is probably the nicest one that we have ever seen.  The kids really had a lot of fun.

Now that Nicholas is walking everywhere, I can't turn my head for a second before I have to start looking for him to find out what he is into next!  I caught him in the act in his new favorite thing!

The other day we had to take Nonni to the airport to go to Albuquerque.  We were waiting for Nonni to finish getting ready in her bathroom.  Nick was babbling, as usual, and then all of the sudden he said something that resembled the word shit.  I didn't say anything, but big brother Jake was listening closely.  Jake turned to me and said, "Mommy, Nicholas just said the word shit!"  I tried not to laugh and told Jake, "That is not a nice word Jake, so you are not to use it." He then said, "Okay.  Only Papa can say that word."
